Is an 18v Cordless impact enough power for lug nuts?

Considering getting a cordless impact for light use. I'm no mechanic, but i have to rotate my wheels, brake jobs, etc.. throughout the year. I'm also poor, is a 18v impact going to be enough to loosen the lugs on a consistent basis?
