Most of us have heard the age old question of whether or not a falling tree makes a sound if no one is there.?
Now, I believe sound is a comprehension and not the actual occurrence of vibrations. However, is there a lower comprehension of vibration through other animal's senses? And say if there were higher developed intellectual creatures out there than us, could they possibly comprehend these vibrations differently? Therefore, if a tree falls in the woods does it make this higher comprehension of vibrations? Or is it all perceptual? And while we're on this subject. Since there are animals that see in black and white and animals that see in color, could there be a higher developed species that sees in even more defined quality than simply color? Therefor, who defines reality? Is reality simply a perceptual state processed by the beholder? (A lot of questions, I know, but I'd be grateful if others could give some insight)
