A 500 gallon tank is initially filled with pure water. Brine containing 1/2 pound of salt per gallon is entering the tank at a rate of 3 gallons per minute. The well-stirred mixture flows out at the same rate. How long will it take for the concentration of salt in the tank to reach 1/4 pound per gallon?
