After Jesus was resurrected how was he suddenly recognizable after enduring such brutality?

Actually, the Bible says that Jesus was unprepossessing from the get-go. The resurrection is more than a resuscitation. Every wound, every weakess, every mortal aspect of Jesus with the sole exception of the signs of his crucifixion, were all healed and perfected. His friends could easily recognize him, otherwise they never would have umed that they had seen a ghost when he appeared to them -- except when he was keeping them from recognizing him, such as with the disciples on the road to Emmaus and Mary Magdalene.
